Square Staff is a suite of products by Square designed to help business owners with day-to-day team management and communications.
The Challenge
I was hired by Square to help develop a look and feel for Staff marketing. When I joined, Staff products were just preparing to launch, and this part of the business didn’t have a visual identity yet.
I was the first design hire to the team and created design systems to bring our marketing materials to life and create a platform the team could build upon as our products grew.
Bringing in stories from real businesses to demonstrate the impact of using Square products.
Pricing doesn’t have to be complicated, because Square doesn’t hide any fees or paywalled features.
Our photoshoot was a great way to capture how Square products become part of your business, and using the photos throughout the page helped emphaszie the authenticity of what we're saying.
The Solution
I designed landing pages for Square’s Staff and Team Communications products. They showcase how their respective features solve problems for business owners—problems that Square is intimately familiar with and striving to solve.
The pages are designed to be engaging, lighthearted, and warm, with an air of helpfulness and understanding. Photos of real people and businesses, bright brand colors, large typography, and clear messaging help convey our products’ benefits and suitability. The page design leads users down the path to learn more and purchase.
I worked closely with the product design team to capture the features of these products and convey them to our audience with callouts and mockups. Once this page was complete, I oversaw junior designers as they iterated on this design for other pages.
