Larry & Amanda's Wedding

I designed all the printed pieces for the wedding of Larry and Amanda, from the invitations to the menus to the favours. The bride and groom wanted something that satisfied their traditional needs without being wholly traditional and included modern elements that represented them and their tastes best. We worked together to develop a colour scheme (black, grey, white and gold) and rules for typography, and I designed a set of four icons to represent the couple and be used throughout. A subtle geometric theme was developed to inform background elements and horizontal rules and other shapes (such as the label for the favours), and helped us keep everything cohesive.
The invitations were printed in black and metallic gold to create a sense of luxury while going in an untraditional direction with the dark colours.
I designed a series of four icons, two each to represent the bride and the groom. The icons were used throughout all the printed materials to indicate how a guest may know the couple. In the above image, the icons were printed as stickers and applied to show which flavour of tea in the favours was from each of them.
